Why is the World so Chaotic?

Do you ever feel like you’re running in circles trying to get things done? Life in today’s world can be full of chaos, endless news mixed in with chronic commercials telling you which new products you need to make life better. My Grandparents did not have to deal with this level of advertising and information that invades most people’s life today!

I miss those old days. Where lights were out by 10pm, and the mornings started with birds chirping to wake me up. You see that’s why I love Christmas so much. Because it’s the one time of year, where on Christmas Day, the pace of life slows down. That slower pace used to be normal days. Now it’s once a year. What has this world come to where everything and everyone seems so loud most of the time. And what’s up with everyone becoming a Salesman?

Sometimes, I wear earplugs in public to escape the noise. It’s surprisingly effective. And people don’t know if they are earbuds or as my generation grew up with …. “headphones”. Does anyone else remember cassette tape players and Walkmans? I wish I could set my day up with a 90’s filter before technology took over.

I miss building fires in the fireplace and listening to the crackling sound. Times are too impatient, too fast paced for me now. I need a slower pace of life. In the current state of technology, I feel like I’m trapped in some weird video game, or worse … an infomercial!

The other day, as I was watching a video, 10 minutes of it was dedicated to what felt like a ridiculous commercial. People posing as “normal, everyday” people trying to sell me a product I don’t need, I don’t want, and is excessively over-priced. It’s unbelievable.

I’m working on a slower-pace of life video. I don’t know how it will do on my Channel, but I’m working on it now. I hope to have it up this weekend. If you liked my article, please check back for the video. Thank you for reading my Blog!

Oh how I remember those days also,my main time was the seventies,as a teenager it was wonderful.Tv was off all day till evening. We were outside playing ,shopping or visiting friends and we always had books to read. Now I watch my morning Christian shows and then TV is off, then it is reading time or cleaning or just being outside enjoying God’s beautiful world around me.

    • I would like to have a more peaceful life like the one you described! I grew up in the 80’s and it was so much better than today. The music was better. People were nicer. Kids were under control in public. Now when I venture out in public, often times I just want to go back home. Trying to have peaceful moments in a chaotic world has been harder recently. I appreciate your encouraging comment!
