If you are like me, you might just be ready for Fall. Instead, we are in the middle of Summer and it’s companion Heatwave! I have to extend the porch umbrella just to give my hosta plant some shade. It has been so hot this week not just for me but also my plants on the porch. It’s even reached 100 degrees!
I am trying to keep cool in my little trailer but there’s not much shade for my home. When it gets hot outside my trailer heats up quickly. One way I stay cool is to use a de-humidifier. That seems to help pull some of the moisture out of the air. And I run my Central Air, too! This week I’ve been able to keep the temperature between 75 – 80 degrees and it’s pretty comfortable inside!
Mobile homes often have lots of leaks especially if the home is older. I suspect mine does. I know as we are in the first week of July it is only going to stay hot through August. Not too many weeks left of this heatwave until my beloved Fall arrives. Is anyone else looking forward to the cooler weather or is it just me?
There have been a lot of thunderstorms which are pretty scary in a trailer. But I’d have to say it’s nice to get the rain. It seems to cool things down for awhile. I hope you have a great day and let me know how do you stay cool in the Summer heat?
Update on Next Video:

Stay as cool as possible, we still have August to go.
Oh yes, August will be a hot one! It will make me appreciate the Fall season ahead, even more! Thank you for reading my Blog.
Is this new feature my 1st time .This summer does seem hotter & a rain is a blessing. Yes Thunderstorms are scary & the thunder can be frightening but if you are lucky you may see a rainbow after a rain.
You can save the water from the dehumidifier for the plants. You have a very cozy home & patio that you have worked hard to maintain.
Take care & stay cool & hydrated.🌞
This heatwave has been pretty hot so far! The rain is a nice break from all the heat. Good idea on saving the water from the de-humidifier. I’ll try that for the plants! I want to work on my porch, but the heat has been a bit too much to deal with lately. Have a great weekend!
Definitely looking foreward to fall weather. We don’t have central air so using our ac units, they are working pretty good though. Stay cool!
I hope you are staying cool, too, with the AC units! I’m very fortunate my trailer has central air. It went out last Summer but it’s working good so far. I am very much going to enjoy Fall this year, it will be beautiful!
I live in a modular home so I know it can be challenging with the heat above 100 degrees. I agree with the dehumidifiers also the moisture extractor boxes from dollar tree help alot. I put them everywhere even in cabinets. They’re small but pull alot of water 💦 in there. I get up super early to empty dehumidifiers and clean up etc. Love your channel stay cool n hydrated.
Thank you for letting me know about the moisture extractor boxes! I’ll have to check into it. Trailer life can be a challenge especially in the Summer. There’s a certain time of day the sun is in full effect, and if the air is not on oh boy that means trouble! I’ve been keeping the temperature pretty constant inside and that’s helping. Thank you for watching my Channel and reading my Blog!
